VMRP Comments
I have used the Vehicle Maintenance Repair Program (VMRP) on many occasions and saved thousands against what I have been quoted elsewhere. Most recently this month in August (2011), Alistair arranged for me to get brakes and rotors replaced on my Land rover LR3 which was done for less than half of the quote I received from another shop. Also in August I called Alistair when one of our company trucks broke down in Red Deer and the dealership there was not able to work on it right away. Alistair got me a quote that was over a thousand dollars cheaper even after adding the cost of towing the vehicle to Calgary. For me the convenience and priority was just as important as the money I saved on the repairs. I would definitely recommend the Finance West VMRP Program.

A significant bonus, however, proved to be your program to further provide service work to any of our vehicles through the VMRP Program. At the time of our Jeep purchase, co-incidentally we had just been quoted for some repair work on another family vehicle through a shop we had confidence and a long standing relationship with. Taking advantage of the program we experienced a timely turnaround, professional service and saved $1500 on this first repair. Months later we came up against another issue where again we realized almost a $2000 discount through the VMRP program from an initial independent quotation for the repair work.

I had a National repair chain quote me $996.87 plus tax to replace the brakes and rotors on my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. I called Alistair at Finance West to see if he could save me any money through the VMRP program. He was able to obtain a quote for the same work for $395 plus tax. I dropped off the vehicle, Alistair called me when it was ready, gave me a copy of the shops invoice which was exactly as quoted. A few days later I had a check engine light come on and called Hyundai who quoted me $115 to diagnose the problem. Finance West had the diagnostic tool and did it for free the same day. I was impressed with the savings and convenience. I was more impressed with the fact that they did this for me on a vehicle that I did not buy from them. I was so angry whan my windsheild got cracked! Checkered Flag (thru the VMRP) got me a new one installed for $169! I saved $80 and all I had to do was drop my car off at the store. It was that easy.
